Amanda Davis, MA
Amanda Davis earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University, building on her undergraduate studies in psychology and addictions. She has spent several years serving individuals in the mental health field and is currently working toward dual licensure. Amanda works with clients of all ages, including children, teens, and adults.
Amanda’s counseling approach blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with a humanistic, person-centered perspective. She emphasizes self-exploration, personal growth, and empowerment throughout the therapeutic process. Amanda believes each person has the strength and resilience needed to heal from trauma, adversity, and life’s challenges, and that therapy can help clients reconnect with those internal resources.
Using techniques such as Socratic questioning and motivational interviewing, Amanda helps clients identify negative thinking patterns, challenge unhelpful automatic thoughts, and develop healthier perspectives and coping strategies. She has particular clinical experience supporting clients who are navigating chronic anxiety, substance use, adverse childhood experiences, and trauma.
Amanda’s goal is to create a supportive, collaborative environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered as they work toward greater peace, fulfillment, emotional well-being, and lasting personal growth.
