About Nelson Counseling

Nelson Counseling is a team of therapists working with people who bring different goals, experiences, and challenges to therapy. We serve southern New Hampshire from our Hudson office and offer secure telehealth across the state.

Empowering our community to grow, heal, and connect

We aim to create a respectful space where people can talk openly, reflect on what they’re experiencing, and work on the challenges that brought them to therapy.

Our therapists are professionals with experience across a range of clinical areas. While each therapist brings their own training and focus, everyone works with the same shared perspective: paying attention to the whole person and meeting clients with care, curiosity, and respect.

About Nelson

What we care about

Therapy isn’t about being “fixed.” It’s about understanding yourself better and having support as you work through what’s important to you. Across our team, we focus on the following:

Accessibility

We work to make therapy easier to access. Appointments are available in person or online, referrals aren’t required, and we accept most major insurance plans. Our team can also help you understand mental health benefits under Medicaid.

Personalized, collaborative care

Therapy is a collaborative process. We listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and focus on what feels most important to you. Sessions evolve over time as your needs, goals, and circumstances change.

Whole-person perspective

Mental health is shaped by many parts of life. We pay attention to emotional, physical, relational, and day-to-day factors, rather than focusing on a single concern or diagnosis.

Our Story

Nelson Counseling was founded to provide accessible, humanistic therapy services in New Hampshire. From the beginning, the focus has been on creating a practice where clinicians can offer respectful, collaborative support to people navigating a wide range of life experiences.

Over time, the practice has grown to include therapists with different backgrounds and areas of focus, while maintaining a shared commitment to professionalism, flexibility, and client-centered work. :
